Pecsa is part of the B Corp community. B Corps are companies that use the power of business to solve social and environmental problems. To do this, they apply best governance, work and environmental practices and seek to establish quality relationships with their stakeholders. Pecsa obtained its certification in October 2017, an important achievement for a company with only two years of operations.
Pecsa has a Code of Conduct and Business Ethics which establishes directives in relation to business practices and posture for the company and the people that work for it. This document acts a benchmark for our relationship with our staff, clients and partners, suppliers and financers, as well as for the environment and society in general.
Furthermore, Pecsa has since its creation a Zero Deforestation Policy, which was formalized in February 2016. This policy ensures that all of Pecsa’s cattle is totally deforestation-free, and also that the company only does business with farms where it can be demonstrated the absence of recent deforestation.
And Pecsa is an associate member of the Brazilian Roundtable on Sustainable Livestock (GTPS), the multistakeholder forum which defines criteria and indicators for sustainable practices along the beef supply chain and seeks to disseminate these practices.
