Pecsa – Sustainable Livestock of Amazonia received, in December, two trophies of the Prize Época Empresa Verde. The company, which operates in the management of sustainable farms in the north of Mato Grosso, won in the special category of Sustainable Development Objectives (ODS) and as Highlight.

Pecsa proves every day that it is possible to produce with quality, increasing productivity in 5 to 7 times just managing well the available resources without deforesting the forest. The company also stands out internationally, being the first cattle company with certification of Company B in Latin America and the second in the world.

The Good Agricultural Practices for Beef Cattle (Embrapa) guide the field practices developed by a Pecsa technical team, together with the guidelines of the Global Roundtable of Sustainable Meat (GRSB). The benchmarks that make the company fulfill as its mission: transform livestock in the Amazon into a sustainable business.

Among the winning companies of the Prize were Natura, Itaú Unibanco, EDP Energia and Fibria.
